Securitization

securitization

MyNeofintech accesses global corporate capital programs through securitization, also known as anglicization, is a financial technique that consists in the transfer of financial assets that provide credit rights (such as issued and unpaid invoices or outstanding loans) to an investor, transforming those credit rights, by passing through an ad hoc company, into financial securities issued in the capital markets, corporate bonds or corporate notes.

A securitisation takes place by regrouping in the same portfolio a set of receivables of a similar nature (e.g. real estate loans, consumer credits, invoices of the same type, etc.) which are assigned to an ad hoc structure (company, fund or trust) that finances the purchase price by placing the securities among the investors. The securities, which typically take the form of bonds, each represent a fraction of the securitised receivables portfolio and entitle investors to receive payments for the receivables (e.g. when invoices are paid, or when real estate loans generate their monthly payments) in the form of interest and principal repayment.
